Countdown: 9 Days Until Cruise Time!
It’s hard to believe we’re just 9 days away from setting sail on our Regent Seven Seas cruise out of New York City! The excitement is officially real—those single-digit countdown days always hit differently. 🛳️✨

Today I carved out some time to take stock of what we've done so far (spoiler: a lot!) and what’s still left to do before we’re stepping on board and leaving the everyday behind.
✅ What’s Already Done:
Cruise booked and confirmed 🎉
Flights to NYC sorted
Pre-night hotel booked before our flight (always nice to take the stress out of travel day!)
Transportation to the airport is booked—we decided it made more sense than leaving our car parked for nearly 16 days. Definitely a more cost-effective (and hassle-free) option.
Hotel in New York reserved—we’re staying at The Plaza! We’re really looking forward to a little luxury before boarding the ship. More details and thoughts on the hotel once we arrive.

Shore excursions booked (can’t wait for these!)
Travel insurance: check
Passports are current and easy to find
Luggage tags printed
Countdown app opened approximately 47 times today
And yes—we’ve started pulling out our cruise wear! Think breezy linen, comfy sandals, and those “only-on-vacation” outfits that just feel like vacation. The guest bedroom looks like a boutique exploded—but in the best way.
Empire State Building tickets booked for the day of departure! A fun way to kick off the trip with a classic NYC view before heading to the port.

We're also tentatively planning either a pedicab tour through Central Park or a visit to a museum—just depends on the weather. It is early November, after all, and you never know what kind of day you’ll get. Fingers crossed for clear skies!

⏳ Still On the List:
Final packing (and narrowing down the shoe options 😅)
Set up out-of-office messages
Charge all the tech and download reading/podcast material
Double-check our NYC restaurant reservations
It’s such a good feeling knowing most of the big stuff is handled. We’re in the home stretch now, and it’s all starting to feel very real. If you’ve done a Regent cruise before and have any last-minute tips or “don’t forget to pack” advice, I’d love to hear them!
Stay tuned—next stop: NYC! 🗽🧳
